A first generation Korean-American, Tim grew up on Blood Street in a small, old New England town. His environment provided the opportunity to pick and choose from two different cultures resulting in an eclectic mix of interests and characteristics.

After graduating from Skidmore College with a B.A in Biology-Psychology he traveled through S. America and Asia and lived in S. Korea. An outdoor enthusiast now living in Brooklyn, NY, he worked in the Strategic Marketing Department of Warner Brother Records and followed it with a position at the Yale Medical School researching mechanisms of Diabetes.

He enjoys playing fútbol and is a good eater. If he could, he’d have a new pair of socks for every day.

HTC Hero Featuring HTC Sense
Once again challenging the iPhone's reign as the touch screen device of choice for over two years, HTC's new model boasts industrial design and interface usability that makes us weigh our options carefully. For early-adopters looking to differentiate themselves from the iPhone-using masses, the Hero may be the answer. Three years in the making, HTC's Hero notably adds HTC Sense, the first fully customized...
April 77 Selvedge Stretch Denim
French label Aprill 77 emphasizes high quality construction and fabrics and in their first year they have already made an impact on the denim scene. A standout from their upcoming Fall/Winter 2009 line is their Japanese selvedge stretch denim pant and jacket. It's the first we've heard of stretch selvedge denim. There are only two factories in the world that can produce this type...
The New York Times Magazine Redesign
A little over a week ago on 14 June 2009 one of my favorite magazines, The New York Times Magazine, quietly unveiled a new design and format in an effort to cut costs and waste (there were two artist designed covers for the 14 June issue, shown above). Announced in that issue's editor's letter by Gerald Marzorati, I'm surprised how under the radar it...
Alden x Context Tanker Boot
Dropping today, Context recently teamed up with established gentleman's footwear authority Alden of New England to create the Tanker Boot. The sleek boot offers the expected durability of its namesake with an infusion of style and comfort resulting in a versatile shoe that can be worn with denim or a suit. The Tanker Boot's silhouette is modeled after the WWI / WW2 U.S military...
Palihouse Holloway Hotel, Los Angeles
Just down the hill from the hustle and bustle of Sunset Boulevard sits the Palihouse Holloway Hotel. I recently had the opportunity to stay at the quiet, NYC apartment-style hotel in the heart of West Hollywood and was expectedly pleased. Perfect for an extended stay, the tucked-away boutique spot has all the amenities of being at home—the one we wish we had—including a full...
Fiber and Fellow Fall/Winter 09
Fiber & Fellow has been on our radar for some time now, but we are especially impressed with their upcoming Fall/Winter 09 collection which is due out late this Summer. Based out of Long Beach, California, Fiber & Fellow's latest menswear collection might fit better in the woods than on the beach. What I like most is the blend of traditional and contemporary styles...
