Now in its 19th rendition, the annual Webby Awards has again begun accepting entries. With five main categories—Websites, Online Film & Video, Interactive Advertising & Media, Mobile Sites & Apps, Social—there’s plenty of opportunity to get involved and perhaps even join the ranks of the best of the internet. CH was ecstatic to have won a Webby for best music and variety video series back in 2007, and we’re curious to see who hoists each trophy this year.

As a reflection of all considered, each of the five categories is broken down into a total of more than 100 subcategories ranging from Activism to Viral Videos. Nominees and winners are selected by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (whose diverse members include creatives like David Bowie to Arianna Huffington), while the public has their say for the People’s Voice Award. Highlights from last year included Professor Lawrence Lessig, the co-founder of Creative Commons and currently the Mayday movement, honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award and recognizing the enigmatic street artist Banksy as the Webby Person of the Year.

Now through 24 October 2014 marks the early entry period, with a final entry deadline of 20 December 2014. Nominees will be announced on 7 April 2015, which will then be followed by the Webby ceremony in NYC in May. Here, winners will be announced, and those taking the stage will give a five-word speech—if only other award shows could so succinct. Visit The Webby Awards to learn more.
