Arkansas Could become America’s Next Art Mecca

Bentonville, Arkansas could soon join the ranks of New York, Los Angeles and London as one of world’s leading cultural destinations. In 2018, it will open the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art inside the massive former home of a Kraft Foods plant—a familiar industrial transformation story that previously produced MoMa PS1, Dia:Beacon and the Tate Modern. The new gallery space will offer 63,000 square feet of contemporary art as well as an artist-in-residence program. Head to ArtNet to learn more about the upcoming museum.
