Cut Copy — Let’s Try it Again

cutcopy_ari.jpg

Here’s a case of maybe needing to listen to a CD more than a few times before making a solid judgment call. Or maybe actually believing other music lovers and giving a CD another shot when you’ve written it off yourself.

Such is the case with Cut Copy’s Bright Like Neon Love. While listening to iTunes on shuffle the other day, I found myself really groovin’ to what was coming in through my earbuds – the song “Going Nowhere.†It made me want to listen to more.

On one hand, Cut Copy sounds slightly like a stripped down Fischerspooner or Groove Armada-lite. On the other hand, it’s just really good rock-influenced dance music.

So while Bright Like Neon Love came out in 2004, I’m taking a step back in time to redo a wrong.
