Pixelord: Berlin

Each track on Russian producer Pixelord’s upcoming debut full-length Places is dedicated to a different city that has significant meaning to him. In the case of “Berlin,” he tells FADER: “I have been there for a few times, played on Leisure System event in Berghain, celebrated NYE and lost my wallet with all the fee from a gig. Berlin is definitely a romantic, mellow city, a bit melancholic, very important in electronic music culture and my own music career. I tried to reflect all that in my track.” The gritty breakbeats and lush piano stabs do a fantastic job of conjuring memories of our own nights dancing away in Berlin.
