PNAU’s End of Summer Playlist for COOL HUNTING
The Australian electro-pop trio assembles some tracks via their own “secret method”
Australian electro-pop trio PNAU (Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes and Sam Littlermore) might be best known for upbeat, summery dance jams, but to mark the official end of the season, they’ve made a playlist for COOL HUNTING that’s a departure from expectation. With tunes spanning rich electronic, minimal techno, new wave and more, the tracks found on this diverse playlist were selected by PNAU using what the band refers to as their own “secret method.” The trio tells us that the appeal for their favorite fall/autumn music “may belie their sophistication with a deeper warmth, greater patience and a journey within.” Depeche Mode, Fever Ray, Vera Blue, Gold Panda and more, all make appearances on the playlist, which is very much an emotional journey through the brains of the three bandmates.
