Premiere: “O, My God” by Solomon’s Seal
More than seven minutes of songwriting splendor set to soothing, manipulated visuals
A gentle breeze upon the face, the tang of salt one tastes with a deep breath by the sea; these are experiences of calm sensory awareness. Such is the energy flowing through singer/songwriter Solomon’s Seal‘s debut single “O, My God.” Its gentle magnificence does not lay one to sleep but encourages wakefulness. From warm vocals to percussive orientation and protective instrumentation, the song acts as an adventure in thought for more than seven minutes. And it’s beautiful—as are the soothing visuals in the music video. If the track is a hint at what’s to come, then we can all expect more than a touch of timelessness from Solomon’s Seal.
