Across the 11-minute video for “The Bath,” The Blow’s Melissa Dyne and Khaela Maricich somehow captivate through relative stillness. It’s the glowing, pulsing colorscapes and the ambient sound-waves—composed in one take by Dyne using both analog and modular synths—that transfix and transcend expectation. The video was filmed live inside The Blow’s production sphere, installed at the Fuga artist residency in Zaragoza, Spain’s Etopia Center for Art and Technology.
