Sophisticated Cannabis Enthusiasts Can Take Weed Sommelier Classes
For cannabis enthusiasts living in Washington DC, Alaska, Colorado or Oregon, several organizations (including the Trichome Institute) are offering marijuana sommelier classes. Students will learn how to differentiate between various strains’ fragrances; “the idea is that every marijuana variety has a unique flower structure and collection of terpenes that produce very specific scents.” Once students can sniff out different fragrances, they can also decipher what strain of cannabis might suit a certain food or drink.
