A Sculptural Cabinet That “Peels” Open
Artist and designer Sebastian ErraZuriz’s latest line of experimental furniture explores unconventional ways to interact with cabinetry. Instead of including sliding drawers or swinging doors, ErraZuriz’s “Wave Cabinet” peels open to expose its contents, transforming its simple, boxy shape into a sculptural artwork. Pulling back on one of its wooden slats prompts the dozens of other wooden pieces to move with it in a wave-like motion—hence the piece’s name.
