Areaware Design To Go Pop Up Shop

areaware-1.jpg

Aggregating the finest of modern design's best tchotchkes, Areaware's new outlet at New York City's Port Authority Bus Terminal offers up an assortment of unique goods for residents and passerby alike.

Occupying Blank SL8, a new retail space that recently housed Refinery29's temporary haven entitled Save Fashion, the acutely edited collection is part travel supply store—with items like leather luggage tags in the shape of a bus—and part souvenir shop, peddling a mash-up of pigeon graphics and the "I Heart NY" slogan on a mug.

Other products include choice items from The Future Perfect such as Kiel Mead's collection of curious jewelry and Annie Lennon's tribal-infused neck gear (pictured below right), in addition to a variety of objects from prominent local designers like Ross Menuez, Jonas Damon, Kelly Lamb and Tobias Wong.

The perfect venue for the pop-up boutique, the hub's energy diametrically matches the intriguing objects found within the shop.

With pillows, shirts, decorations, city guides and more, the Design To Go store is bound to amuse travelers and provide some much needed creativity in an otherwise corporate part of town.
