Aurora Lamp

The Good Flock debuts home design with an elegantly minimalist fixture

Taking into account the lack of space in most urban dwellings, designer Marco Murillo of The Good Flock developed the brand’s first home product to be both elegant and functional. The minimal Aurora Lamp, which launches as a Kickstarter project today, is crafted from one exquisite piece of solid white oak turned by a craftsman based in Aurora, OR. Dedication to handcrafted, “wholesome” products defines the entire Good Flock line and the Aurora lamp reflects this in every detail. A cotton cord attached through an intricate knotting system keeps the product free of plastic, and a notch in the lamp’s base allows for it to either be mounted on the wall or set upright on a tabletop. Plus, the conical shape maximizes the diffusion of light while highlighting the natural beauty of the wood.
