Bamford Watch Department’s Latest Heritage Series Additions

Looking to the past for two gorgeous new offerings

Over the years, we’ve often fallen for the Bamford Watch Department (BWD) pieces that drastically reimagined watches. Now, it’s their subtlety that warrants attention. Recently debuting two new pieces within their already successful Bamford Heritage Series, the brand affirms an attention to detail and an understanding of what makes a timepiece classic. The latest items, the Bamford Heritage Explorer I and Bamford Heritage Bicolour Paul Newman Daytona, look to the past but the results are two contemporary steel watches.

The 40mm Heritage Bicolour Paul Newman Daytona features gold pushers, crown and bezel ring. This self-winding mechanical chronograph comes with an individually crafted Paul Newman Tribute dial and BWD’s signature light grey military-grade titanium coating. All of the accents take their cues from the classic Paul Newman Daytona. As for the 39mm Heritage Explorer I, BWD looked to the Rolex Explorer I 6350 for inspiration. The individually crafted, precision-engraved diamond-pattern black dial, with gilt applied gold accents, harkens back to the original. Also an automatic, this addition to the range strikes an ideal balance between honoring a historic watch and becoming something all its own.

The latest BWD’s Heritage Series pieces are available online, where the Explorer I retails for $16,500 and the Bicolour Paul Newman Daytona for $34,000.
