CH Omakase 2016: Todd Snyder + Timex Red Wing Shoe Leather Chronograph
A vintage style, reimagined by the NYC-based designer with premium materials
When we first set eyes upon NYC-based designer Todd Snyder’s collaboration with Timex, there was something deeply gratifying about the updated vintage designs executed with the utmost attention to detail. Snyder himself is a passionate Timex collector with a thorough understanding of the inexpensive heritage brand. Of the various styles he brought to life, we were taken most by the chronograph. For this season, Snyder released three limited editions of the chrono, including this one featuring a strap made from the same leather as another US heritage brand: Red Wing Shoes. Under the brand’s 42mm Waterbury collection (named after their hometown in Connecticut), this dynamic Todd Snyder piece complements just about any outfit—and for that reason among many others, it made sense as a natural inclusion in our CH Omakase 2016.
