CH Omakase 2017: From the Road + Curious Corners Ombre Scarf

An accessory hand-woven in Nepal and hand-dyed in New York City

One of the best parts of working at CH is meeting people and having the opportunity to connect them for future projects. Susan Easton, founder and creative director of From the Road, travels the world working with craftspeople to develop stunning items. Curious Corners‘ founder Sayaka Toyama is a Japanese expat living in NYC whose store/gallery/workshop shares the best of Japan. For Omakase, they came together. Through Easton, these scarves were hand-woven in Nepal. They were then hand-dyed with Japanese indigo by Sayaka. The ombre pattern is extremely difficult to achieve, requiring a master’s touch. Made in an edition of 50, each scarf is the result of global skills and interests converging.

CH Omakase is a collection of never seen before, pre-release and collaboratively designed gifts delivered in time for a holiday surprise. You can see our collection from this past season here.
