In celebration of their new book, The Game Design Reader: A Rules of Play Anthology, indie games evangelist Eric Zimmerman from GameLab and the lovely Director of Graduate Studies in the DT department at Parsons Katie Salen present an evening of discussion and debate about the past, present, and future of games. The book, edited by Katie and Eric, is a collection of essays from 8 influential figures from the field of videogames and play scholarship. During the event, each contributiing author will present a short selection from their work and invite game players, designers, and critics to exchange in a bit of verbal friendly fire.
