First introduced this year at Maison et Objet, Eclectic by Tom Dixon, a new line of accessories by the influential British design studio, officially launches mid-October 2012. The aptly named line comprises miscellaneous “decorative artifacts” molded in heavyweight copper, brass, marble, cast aluminum and wood, modeled on actual trinkets collected by the Tom Dixon design team over the years .

With multiple collections under the Eclectic title, the variety of handmade items ranges from scented candles in metal and marble vessels to solid copper dishes hammered with the hexagonal pattern favored by Tom Dixon in recent lighting collections. Along with these are a solid aluminum-cast “English Gentleman’s brogue,” British factory and cast iron children’s jack.

The smaller, playful curiosities complement the bold, innovative lighting and furniture for which Tom Dixon has become known. Visit the website for more information. Or to see the Eclectic collection in person, visit the The Dock, a Tom Dixon pop up space open for London Design Festival 17-23 September. Designed by Pan Studio, the wooden cabin village will house work by Tom Dixon alongside other independent designers.
