James Bond’s Aston Martin DB10 Up For Auction

Proceeds from the Christie’s sale will benefit Médecins Sans Frontières and more

In the collectible world of filmic history, there’s nothing quite like the Aston Martin DB10. The 4.7-litre, V8 petrol engine with six-speed manual gearbox machine—developed exclusively for the James Bond “Spectre” film—is the rarest in the DB line to be offered up for private ownership. Its sleek carbon fiber exterior conceals an exquisite, detailed luxury interior. As far as automobiles go, there’s a resonant beauty to this creation, balancing the functional and fantastical. And, of all 10 bespoke DB10s manufactured for the Bond film, this is one of only two that underwent no additional modifications for use on set. The car will be up for auction as part of Christie’s James Bond Spectre—The Auction and, while estimates claim the car will go for around £1 million, all of the proceeds from the entire auction will go toward Médecins Sans Frontières, plus other charitable organizations including United Nations Mine Action Service. Whether you’re a Bond fan or an Aston Martin fan, or are simply looking for a Daniel Craig autograph (which the car also comes with), here’s an opportunity to get all three in one fell swoop—and for the sake of charity.

James Bond Spectre—The Auction will take place on 18 February 2016 at Christie’s King Street auction house in London. There are 23 other lots (like Craig’s Tom Ford dinner suit) up for grabs as well.
