Larsson & Jennings’ The Automatic Series

Introducing a Swiss-made mechanical movement within their clean, classic design

Much can be said of the multi-national inspiration behind watch brand Larsson & Jennings. Established between Stockholm and London, the brand draws from the minimalist design sensibilities of the former, punctuated with historic timepiece nuances from the latter. All the while, each minimalist, contemporary watch is made in Switzerland. With their latest collection, however, the brand further employs the benefits of Swiss watchmaking. The Automatic Series—a stylish but simple unisex line—incorporates an ETA 2892-A2 automatic mechanical movement, meaning the watch winds itself by way of an engraved rotor plate accruing a 42-hour power reserve when worn.

An exhibition case-back reveals the rotor and some of the 21 jewels within, and DLC markers and Swiss AR-coated sapphire crystal round out the face’s visual presentation. The details signify the care taken during production, yet this watch is more than aesthetically driven. It has been punched up features-wise, with a numerical date calendar and a sweeping seconds hand. Further, in getting hands-on with the timepieces, we’ve observed that they’re lightweight and reasonably sized (at 39mm). The collection is the first automatic line from Larsson & Jennings—and it’s an impressive addition that holds true to their classic nature.

The four Larsson & Jennings’ Automatic watch styles (black and gold, matte black, stainless steel and white, and matte steel and black) are available starting at $1,595, available in-store or by telephone (+1-866-302-1771).
