1. Crazy Swimming Pools

2. 2013 Chloé Resort Collection
In her first full year at the label, former Pringle of Scotland designer Clare Waight Keller presents a pitch-perfect 2013 Resort Collection for Chloé. Momentarily touching on bright colors and bold prints, the endlessly elegant collection favors billowy tops, cropped bottoms and decisively simple topcoats.
3. 1980s Apple Apparel
When we think of Apple we think clean lines and sharp aesthetics. But this wasn’t always so. In the mid-80s—around the time Jobs was pushed out—the pre-powerhouse company took an ill-advised foray into fashion with a regrettable line of rather frumpy (but, in retrospect, amazing) apparel. Commanded by loud graphic design and pastel colors, the casual duds are a real departure from the minimalist brand that exists today.
4. iPhone with a Polarizing Filter
The Trygger Camera Case has a built-in polarizing filter to bring the iPhone 4/4S camera one step closer to taking professional photos. The filter cuts out glare and unwanted light, and allows for an all-around crisper photo. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign the cases will hit stores this July.
5. Nails Across America
Brooklyn-based artist Breanne Trammell is transforming a canned ham trailer into a mobile nail salon to create “a unique environment for exchanging ideas, connection, and conversation.” Dubbed “Nails Across America”, the two-year project creatively explores the intimate but often silent interaction between a nail technician and client. Help fund her endeavor by supporting “Nails Across America” on Kickstarter.
6. Art Lab
Aimed at young creative minds, MoMA’s Art Lab iPad app enables users to create graphic pieces through shapes, lines and hand-drawn elements. Beyond the main drawing interface, the app also includes extensive exercises and activities that aid in the creation of shape poems, sound poems, group drawings, chance collages and more.
7. Sylvia Plath Sketches
Works from the exhibition of pen-and-ink sketches by Silvia Plath at the Mayor Gallery in London are now available online. The spare, delicately conceived renderings prove Plath’s range as an artist, and are sure to delight devoted readers.
8. John Crawford’s “Aerial Nudes”
Auckland photographer John Crawford approaches nude portraiture from new heights with his series, “Aerial Nudes”. From the back of a pickup truck to the middle of a field, Crawford’s choice in location makes for some intriguing, well-composed compositions.
