Shinola + Natas Kaupas Limited Edition Skateboards
100 made-in-the-USA decks, celebrating the brand’s new store in Venice, CA
Skateboarding legend Natas Kaupas has joined forces with Detroit-based lifestyle brand (and CH favorite) Shinola for a new limited edition product to celebrate the opening of their Venice, CA store. The Shinola + Natas Kaupas skate decks, all made in the USA, feature original artwork by Kaupas—as well as his signature. The Hall of Fame street skateboarder, a pioneer in skateboarding’s acceptance as a professional sport, actually led many previous artistic endeavors and often commissioned artists to design limited run skate decks at his own board company. Only 100 decks have been produced in this series, all of which were made in LA. The collaboration furthers Shinola’s push to work with local creators drawn from areas where they have retail locations.
The Shinola + Natas Kaupas limited edition skate decks will be available tomorrow, 30 April, for $100. There will be 50 at the new Shinola store (1623 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA) and 50 online.
