Tom Dixon Studio’s New Greene Street Store + Pop-Up Flash Factory

NYCxDesign ushers in two substantial developments for the beloved brand

As New York Design Week begins to reveal innumerable treasures, Tom Dixon Studio joins the front of the pack with two notable gifts to the city. First, Tom Dixon is expanding his presence stateside with a two-story Greene St shop in SoHo. It’s 6,700-square-feet of lighting, furniture and home accessories. A wonderland of sorts, with his signature reinvented geometries, eye-catching materials and curious, comfortable chairs, the bright space also houses Dixon’s vibrant new super-glossy collection The Blue, The Black and The Silver. Further, one can find his new range of bathroom lights, Hot + Wet. For those smitten with Dixon’s work, there’s no greater immersion stateside than 25 Greene St.

NYCxDesign carries one other substantial Dixon draw. The designer himself will be frequenting the store and leading discussions on site. Here, visitors can also see the manufacturing of a limited edition “Etch Light” and leave with their own custom version of it. It’s a pop-up experience, which the studio refers to as the “Flash Factory.” 25 Greene St opens 17 May, and the Tom Dixon Studio design week activations take place 18-20 May.
