TRNK’s Debut Furniture Collection

The NYC-based retailer has designed Truss, their own range of home goods

Self-described “home enthusiasts,” TRNK‘s co-founders Tariq Dixon and Nick Nemechek believe that your home is about self-expression and should be a sanctuary. After years of TRNK blending storytelling, editorial and commerce online it makes perfect sense that these friends and colleagues designed Truss, their first collection of furniture. Dixon and Nemechek have impeccable taste (evident since their brand’s launch in 2014) celebrating a mix of sleek, modern styles along with nods to the classics, all with plenty of texture. We’re particularly fond of the Truss Bench, which features a semi-aniline leather-wrapped frame and a fabric cushion. Its minimal metal base delivers clean lines and the trio of materials creates a sophisticated and textured look.

TRNK’s debut collection is focused on key components: a sofa, armchair, ottoman and bench. Each piece is produced in the USA, using traditional and tech-forward methods. With 20+ upholstery options, the items can be tailored to your taste but each is rich, warm and offers a subtle yet striking look for your home. On offer are premium leathers and jewel-toned fabrics by Maharam—the combination of which is understated but comfortable.

It’s also worth checking out their lighting selection, which ranges from mid-century to ultra-modern. We’re fans of the contrasting brass and hand-turned oak in the Lodge Chandelier and the industrial-tinged aluminum Cast Pendant with its accessible price.
