Craft Beer New York

Drink down the five boroughs in a curated app for iPhone

Long known for its nightlife and for being the unequivocal home of the cocktail—or, at the very least, the Manhattan—New York has slowly come up as a hub for the microbrew movement. With renowned leaders like Brooklyn Brewery paving the way for other craft enthusiasts, the city boasts a number of respectable producers including Bronx Brewery, Sixpoint and Kelso in addition to other regional names.

Following the success of Craft Beer London, Blue Crow Media has produced an all-in-one guide for a hoppy time in the Big Apple. Craft Beer New York takes 120 of the best bars, beer shops and breweries, distilling them into a handy companion for iOS. The app uses ratings, proximity and name to discover new places for an enjoyable brew.

Joshua M. Bernstein, beer expert and author of “Brewed Awakening” reviews each of the locales, throwing in recommendations on what to eat and drink. From Williamsburg and the LES to Midtown and Long Island City, Bernstein’s listings contain all the essential breweries, pubs and, well, brewpubs.

Craft Beer New York sells from the iTunes App Store for $2.
