Miami’s Funding Arts Network Turns 20 Years Old
Miami’s Funding Arts Network (aka FAN) turned 20, and continues its mission to support, empower and enhance the city’s artists. To celebrate its long and significant role in the art scene, FAN offered up grants “totaling $250,000 in amounts ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to 21 Miami-Dade non-profit organizations.” Since founders Deborah Hoffman and the late Nita Prieto-Maercks discussed starting the initiative, FAN has contributed over $3 million and continues to prove how much women can do when they work together.
