Samsung’s Serif TV

Once again, Samsung has found a way to invigorate the television-manufacturing industry, where pixel density and refresh rate seem to be the only things that improve. After teaming up with Yves Behar to release an impressive curved screen, the South Korean company tapped furniture designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to update a TV with more than just technical specs in mind. The result is the Serif TV, which reimagines the ubiquitous flat, black screen with a typographical border and a side profile that resembles an “I”. The Samsung Serif TV will be available in select countries beginning in November.
