The World’s Largest Airship
British design company Hybrid Air Vehicles (or HAV) is taking the best parts of a blimp, airplane and helicopter and combing them into its new concept aircraft, the Airliner 10. Due to its unique helium-filled design, the massive airship will be 20% more efficient in fuel usage as compared to existing jets while being able to carry an astounding ten tons and stay airborne for around five days. HAV hopes to have Airliner 10 operational in the UK by 2016 with flight tests on track for later this year.
