Adidas Originals + Pharrell Williams Jacquard Collection
The frequent collaborators team up for a limited edition, unisex collection
Frequent Adidas collaborator, Pharrell Williams has joined forces with the iconic brand once again and the upshot is a small collection of limited edition items that reflects Williams’ aesthetic—playful and colorful, but growing more and more sophisticated.
Inspired by two vintage fabrics Williams found when visiting Marché Saint Pierre in Paris, the collection—a pair of Stan Smiths and Superstar LIL’ jacket—are grandiose and flora, yet subtle. The jacket is unisex, made in Germany from quality European materials and, of course, boasts the classic Adidas three stripes.
While the shoes feature the same fabric, inside Williams’ himself designed an insole that’s bright and cartoonish, which playfully contrasts the outer. They also feature yellow de-bossed, vintage-vibed logos on the heel-tabs.
Named for the material type, the “Jacquard Pack” shoes and jacket are available in two colorways—gold and pink embroidery on turquoise; and red, gold and green embroidery on cream—and will be available 30 May from Adidas Originals flagship stores. Only 200 pieces per style and colorway will be available.
