THE ARRIVALS’ Holiday Collaborations and Pop-Up Store
Located in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood, a gorgeous space full of outerwear and limited edition pieces made by likeminded brands
When previewing the space with THE ARRIVALS designer and co-founder Jeff Johnson, it’s immediately clear that there is a minimal, sophisticated theme throughout every single item on display at the brand’s 2016 Concept pop-up store. The NYC-based brand has been making striking, high-quality outerwear and accessories for two years now and today, their first-ever brick-and-mortar store is opening on Crosby St in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood.
Not only a physical place to get hands-on with their buttery leather jackets, cozy Italian wool, and more, the storefront will act as a sort of carousel, showcasing the work of other brands—and, perhaps most excitingly, the products THE ARRIVALS collaborated on with them. From minimal pouches to sports equipment, rose gold accessories, lapel pins and more, THE ARRIVALS joined forces with some of their favorite brands to create a diverse range of limited edition pieces that fit perfectly with their minimal, sharp and bold aesthetic.
Johnson tells us, “With the pursuit of connecting the creative community through meaningful collaborations in mind, our goal for THE ARRIVALS pop-up was to bring together likeminded brands, individuals and ideas through an immersive spatial experience. We wanted to partner with brands that could complete a lifestyle–from outerwear archetypes to time pieces, travel accessories, homeware and gifts.” While Killspencer makes luxury bags, Pintrill produces enamel pins, OTHR manufactures 3D-printed homeware and Daniel Wellington crafts minimalist Scandinavian timepieces, the through-line, Johnson says, is “a shared respect to create differently.”
THE ARRIVALS Concept pop-up store (located at 39 1/2 Crosby St, NYC) opens today. Collaborative products will be sold exclusively in-store starting in November—with Daniel Wellington in the space 3-9 November; Killspencer, 10-16 November; Pintrill, 17-23 November; and OTHR 25-30 November.
