CH Edition: 3×1 Pop-Over Shirt

Our latest collaboration project sees five classic abbreviated button-downs, made in NYC from rare selvedge fabrics

Almost exactly one year ago we introduced the CH Edition Pitmaster Apron: our first collaboration with NYC’s denim experts at 3×1. While the badass smock continues to take care of all of our needs when holding down the grill, our latest co-designed product—made in partnership with Scott Morrison and his team—offers something for everyday wear. And so, we introduce the CH Edition 3×1 Pop-Over Shirt, our very own take on the classic prep staple—made of rare fabric exclusive to the collaboration.

Though not a too widely seen silhouette, the pop-over is a favored classic at CH HQ. With this in mind, there was little to decide upon when teaming up with 3×1 for our second collaboration—aside from where to add a few highly considered design details. A traditional placket and dual chest pockets make a nice casual look that works in the office and around the city. And as with the apron, a stripe of selvedge makes up the sole embellishment, landing on the right breast pocket and side gusset hems.

Five long-sleeve shirts complete the small-run capsule collection, with four gradients of chambray and a clean white oxford—a timeless staple deserving of every wardrobe. The lighter shades come just in time for the season’s warm weather, while the darker hues work just as well with light pairings. Though none will seem out of place layered underneath a jacket or two come winter time.

The special collection is available today, 2 July 2014, directly from 3×1 online as well as at their retail space located at 15 Mercer in NYC; each of the five colorways will sell for $265. Visit 3×1 for more information, and be sure to check out our past CH Edition collaboration products.
