Christopher Kane Launches Limited Editions

Starting with a dried rose paperweight cube, inspired by the fashion designer’s AW16 collection

Christopher Kane—who’s been making luxurious sweatshirts today’s equivalent of a staple leather jacket—is now releasing a unique product on the first Friday of every other month, starting today. Whether from the archives or one-of-a-kind, their essence is a limited production. True to the British fashion designer’s romantic nature—and love for flowers—Christopher Kane’s first Limited Edition product is a dried rose crystallized permanently inside an acrylic cube paperweight. It takes inspiration from his AW16 collection which explored the themes of decay. “There is an idea of beauty expired this season,” he said before the presentation at London’s Tate Modern. “But how that dead and thrown away beauty often looks better than when it was alive.” The cube, engraved “Lost and Found,” feels like a memory become tangible.

Available today, the individually numbered paperweight ($125) is an online exclusive at Christopher Kane’s webstore. Made in a very limited run of 50 worldwide.
