Seamless origami bags in lissome leather

A new collection of leather bags from NYC’s The Little House incorporates origami stylings for a seamless design. Each of the three pieces that make up the FHOLD series use a single piece of supple leather that is riveted for structure. A bit reminiscent of the 132 5. collection by Issey Miyake, the bags toy with geometry and minimalism using remarkably soft materials.

“FHOLD is based on a precise pattern and the philosophy of balance,” says The Little House co-founder Savania Davies-Keiller. “There are no seams or stitches (with the exception of the zipper closure on the Wash Bag), and the bags are folded into shape and held at strategic points by rivets.” The Wash Bag‘s braided pull and gunmetal zipper are nice details, though it’s hard to beat the Pouch‘s utter simplicity. The Shopper is an amorphous hold-all that slouches its way into nonchalant forms when full.

The FHOLD Collection will expand for Spring 2013 into a full apparel line for men and women. The current offerings, available in black, chocolate and bronzed green, range from $160 to $395 and are available from The Little House online as well as in store.
