Soon-to-be-wed college sweethearts, Michael Tyburski and Perrin Drumm also happen to be Cool Hunting contributors. Michael has directed several of our videos including Minnesota Roller Girls, Brimfield Antique Fair and Bristol Cars. Perrin’s stories include many destinations from our Word of Mouth travel series and a broad range of design stories. We recently asked the duo to check out Levi’s® Fall 2012 Collection and pick their favorites. Here’s Perrin’s.

Not afraid to get her hands dirty, Perrin travels far and digs deep to find her stories. The Side Tie Dress fits her strong-but-feminine style to a T. A simple drawstring piece made from a lightly waxed cotton, the knee-length dress works all day, then translates easily for relaxed fall evenings.

While the waxed cotton offers a bit of an edge, the silhouette keeps it sweet for the perfect tomboy balance. Plus, the medium-weight fabric is just breezy enough for lingering warm days when worn alone, or paired with boots and tights to endure the slowly dropping temps of the new season.

The Side Tie Dress is available for $118. Check out Michael’s Commuter Series jacket and pants here.
