When newlyweds Mac and Katherine McMillan started Pierrepont Hicks in 2009, their mission was to make the perfect tie. Now that they’ve achieved that goal—evidenced by the loyal following they’ve garnered—the duo has expanded their line bit by bit to include shoes and for the first time ever, outerwear. Made in Seattle, the new parkas from Pierrepont Hicks are unisex and available in two different styles: navy “Gadwall” or khaki “Track.” The parka’s wool interior is made by their friends at Faribault Woolen Mill in Minnesota and pair well with the bold nylon lining, sure to brighten up any dreary winter day.

“Outerwear is so important. It’s your most visible layer when you are walking around,” says Katherine. “My favorite thing is the leather-back snaps. It’s details like that which make items last.” Other sweet bonuses include dual zippers, six outside pockets (and a hidden zippered pocket on the inside) and adjustable Velcro cuffs.

Visit Pierrepont Hicks online to pre-order a Gadwall or Track parka for $475—some sizes have already sold out.
