The traditionally military jacket gets a luxe upgrade
The leather jacket is one of the single most iconic pieces of clothing in history. Though unlike a pair of denim jeans, the leather jacket is not always for everyone. An alternative—and an equally stylish one at that—is the new leather bomber jacket from Brooklyn’s QC // WC. “I always wanted a leather jacket, but I’m not badass enough for Schott Perfecto,” QC // WC founder Joe Latson jokingly admits. “The bomber style has always been a favorite of mine and I love how wearable it is. So, we took influence from our favorite motorcycle jackets and implemented elements into the bomber—hence the heavy silver hardware and thick, textured leather.”
While we saw a glimpse of the original concept last fall, the perfectly clean design is now on its way to reality. And, thanks to a progressive, direct-to-consumer business model, those who agree with Latson can pre-order the first run American-made leather bombers for $600.
