Refinery29: Something Old, Something New

FSC_for_CoolHutning.jpg

Sitting above Freemans, the quasi-secret restaurant well-known for its back-alley access and collection of antlers, Freemans Sporting Club is restaurant owner Taavo Somer's other passions: a made-to-measure suit showroom that is helping to revive the bespoke tailoring of yesteryear. A punk rocker at heart, Somer started the appointment only business out of a desire to wear something more subversive than the common vintage t-shirt and jeans. Using only deadstock vintage wools (much stronger than today's popular wools), Somer creates modern suits that are built for every day use and with a distinctive body and shape. Refinery29 takes a first look at the handsome suits and old world showroom, previously only open to family and friends.
