STAMPD Launches Women’s Capsule

Cropped bombers and neoprene hoodies from the West Coast label

Starting out with just sneakers and snapbacks, West Coast-based STAMPD has grown rapidly in the past four years to offer a strong collection of stripped-down, monochromatic (but mostly black and white) pieces with an attention-grabbing edge. Named GQ’s 2015 Best New Menswear Designers in America, and with a fresh collaboration with Puma under his arm, Chris Stamp refers to his aesthetic as “avantstreet”—streetwear’s older, mature brother if you will. While it’s first and foremost a menswear collection, some of STAMPD’s pieces like long-sleeve T-shirts and caps are pretty much unisex, but today, they’ve launched their first women’s capsule featuring silhouettes highlighting the female form.

The capsule is pretty small, tastefully offering just four styles in black: a crop top with the STAMPD logo on both sleeves, a mesh jersey, a cropped neoprene hooded jacket and a cropped bomber with hanging straps. Based on the lookbook images, however, it feels like they’re sitting on a few more designs that they’re waiting to release.

The women’s capsule launched today and is available online only from STAMPD. Each piece is made in an edition of 100.
