Woolmark Presents The White Briefs Nick Wooster

A 100% Merino wool underwear and loungewear capsule collection produced in collaboration with the fashion influencer

To demonstrate the versatility of Merino wool at its softest, famed fashion influencer Nick Wooster partnered with Sweden’s fabric-focused design house and apparel brand The White Briefs for a new collection of underwear, loungewear and more. Altogether presented by The Woolmark Company, textile masters since the ’60s, this collection comprises sexy yet refined briefs, gym shorts, boxers, coats and even a robe. As luxuriant and elegant as it is, however, comfort stands at the core of this capsule.

Wool isn’t something most people associate with underwear. That was something Wooster was aware of from the beginning, and something that The White Briefs creative director Peter Simonsson was interested in challenging. Using superfine 100% Australian Merino wool, the team constructed pieces that complement the body, and do so comfortably. The Woolmark Company has been an authority on wool for years and worked closely with the team on their fabric selections, ultimately deciding on a material that boasts superior breathability and a delicate, gentle touch that feels good anywhere.

Every piece within the collection bears modesty and a sense of the understated—and surprisingly no camouflage, a print which Wooster is known to love. All of it was built upon the idea of turning things inside out, taking a material that is often used in outerwear and instead making underwear. The concept is solidified by a palette of dark grey, black, deep navy and a bit of olive—classic, quiet and comfortable throughout.

The collection will be available to the public at select retailers in August 2015, with prices ranging from $175 to $240 for pants or leggings, $55 for briefs and $95 for boxer shorts.
