Jambox Remix

More than 100 different color combinations now available

When something is modular and colorful creative-types can’t help but mix and match parts. As fans of the Jawbone’s Jambox since its launch, we have a few here at CH HQ and are guilty of dismantling and reassembling them in different colorways. With today’s launch of Remix, any Jambox customer can choose their favorite color combinations when ordering their own Bluetooth speaker.

Making a Remix is quite simple—there’s a palette of colorful caps and an assortment of colored and textured grills which together yield 117 different possible combinations. Configure your own, order and it will be assembled and delivered in 7-10 days.

Of course, a remixed Jambox is still a Jambox and features 10 hours of wireless music playback from any Bluetooth enabled phone, music player or laptop. The stout speaker system also has a microphone and supports 2-way audio—great for conference calls or just hands-free chatting. For those who want more, Jawbone has built the MyTalk platform where you can download different sound effects and audio apps.

What colorway will we order? Our inspiration ranges from sports cars and lemon-cream pies to African green and gold so we’re still a bit undecided.

Remix will cost the same as a regular Jambox, $199, and is available in limited quantities until 28 August 2012 when it becomes available to all. If you’re eager to get started now, you can request early access on the Remix home page.
