A Japanese Phone Lets You Pay With Your Eyes

The latest mobile payment technology from Japan goes beyond just fingerprint recognition: the Arrows MX F-04G phone from Japanese company NTT Docomo allows users to unlock their phones and pay for items using their eyes. The new phone comes with a built-in iris-recognition feature that can identify its owner’s unique iris patterns, making it significantly more secure than the Face Unlock feature previously released by Samsung—which could be tricked with a photo. While the phone may remain a Japan-only option, the technology will likely be adopted by other smartphone makers.
