NASA Discovers Liquid Water on Mars

Today, NASA announced that a new analysis of images taken from their Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter strongly confirms their hypothesis that liquid water exists on the Martian surface—at least seasonally. The cold, desolate planet has previously been known to house water, but only in the form of frozen slabs beneath its surface, making this an exciting discovery. While the presence of liquid water increases the chances of life on Mars, finding living organisms (or meeting a martian) is still unlikely.
