1. RAL 5015

French multimedia artist Xavier Veilhan‘s work often focuses on transportation and movement, like in his recent RAL 5015 sculpture. He created the fully functional blue motorboat in collaboration with Frauscher shipyard.

2. Xyxx

A “visual conversation between two iPhones and two lovers,” the Tumblr Xyxx anonymously documents the relationship between a female (xx) and male (xy) couple through beautiful images which are, surprisingly (though probably not without an app or two), all taken on iPhones.

3. MRelease

The new mRelease application from Being MEdia, LLc helps filmmakers and photographers sign and send releases straight from their phone. Available for $3 on iTunes, the app includes essentials like an Appearance Release (aka Model Release or Talent Release), Property Release, Location Release, and Crew Release.

4. Parking Lot Hydra

Now available in paperback form, photographer EStelle Hanania‘s series “Parking Lot Hydra” celebrates the quirkier side of Bulgaria’s winter masquerade, documenting performers clad in feathers, horns, and paint in the festival’s nearby parking lot.

5. The Making of a T-Shirt

A new video from Createmake shows how t-shirts are screen printed at Howies, the U.K.-based label with a global cult following. Using organic cotton, the Howies team silk screens the t-shirts by hand, a labor of love nicely captured in this short documentary.

6. Polaroid Rainbow SX-70 OneStep Land Camera

The Impossible Project and Photojojo teamed up to refurbish 50 Polaroid Rainbow SX-70 OneStep Land Cameras. Selling for $210 a pop, the good-as-new cameras come complete with shoulder strap and two packs of film—unsurprisingly, the limited edition retro cameras already sold out.

7. Hu2 Laptop Stickers

Fubiz introduces us to the 2010 laptop sticker collection from Hu2 Design. Designed and crafted in the heart of London, these elegant and cleverly illustrated PVC-free adhesives make a tasteful way to personalize any MacBook. The riff on Magritte’s famous “Son of Man” painting is a particularly witty why-didn’t-I-think-of-that-first idea.

8. The Periodic Table of Swearing

Replacing scientific elements with curse words, The Periodic Table of Swearing invents abbreviations for both familiar and not-so-known foul language in a nicely-done graphic.

9. Picture This Magazine

South African pop culture community One Small Seed recently launched their tenth issue of “Picture This,” showcasing the best in recent photography submitted by its online creative community.

10. “End Love” by OK Go

Motiongrapher highlights “End Love”—the latest music video from stunt-rockers OK Go. An accompanying interview with directors and choreographers breaks down the hours that went into creating the four minutes of stop-motion wizardry.

11. Nerds Send an HD Camera into Space

Recording a “Balloon Boy” view of the earth, Say Mayday featured video footage from a GoPro HD camera that a group of San Francisco engineers launched into the stratosphere.

12. “The Ed Banger 7” Trailer

Ed Banger and his crew invade New York City in “The Ed Banger 7,” the electronic label’s documentary produced in collaboration with Etnies and Konbini. The first installment dropped yesterday, with the remaining six episodes set for release online each day until 30 June 2010.
