Curtains for PDX Carpet
After 25 years of staining, stepping and fraying, the much-loved PDX airport terminal carpet is set to be replaced. The green geometric carpeting, which has long been the city’s warm welcome to native Portlanders and those visiting, will be completely removed by the 2015 holiday season. Sentimental Portlanders hoping to preserve a piece of historical Portlandia will be able to snag a section of the carpet once the airport is done sectioning it off.
