Design-Forward Luggage from Delsey and Philippe Starck

Starcktrip, a collaboration between the two French greats, results in some sophisticated suitcases

French luggage brand Delsey is currently working on bringing smart suitcases to the masses (Pluggage will be able to weigh itself, charge your phone and open with fingerprint scan). But until then, we’re more than satisfied rolling around their most recent offering: Starcktrip, a collaboration with designer and global powerhouse Philippe Starck. The eight-piece collection features minimalist yet design-forward suitcases, duffel bags, totes and even a laptop backpack. Launched at the end of last year, the range was designed with the seasoned traveller in mind—silent wheels, fabric that’s stain-, bacteria- and water-resistant (inside and out), and even screens embedded into the material to protect against data theft.

After testing out the Milanock carry-on for the past few months on both domestic and international excursions, we’ve fallen in love with the roomy, minimalist case. As the retractable handle is the only one, the case is all clean lines. As with the rest of the collection, the carry-on is unique and sophisticated without being obtrusive; we’ve never looked so forward to our next flight.

View the rest of the Starcktrip capsule collection by visiting Delsey’s online store; the carry-on size retails for $550 and includes a lifetime guarantee from Delsey.
