Celebrate the Stockholm label’s two-year anniversary with a collaborative rendition of their Unit 01 shoulder bag
The makers of highly functional, modular bags for everyday use and extended travel, Stockholm’s Unit Portables are celebrating their their second year of superlative bag design by teaming up with Berlin-based clothing brand Ucon to recreate their founding design; the Unit 01 shoulder bag. Released today as Unit Portables’ first collaborative project, The Arko bag blends both companies’ creative spirits in a limited edition release.
“Ucon is, much like ourselves, a company founded through a vision to develop lifestyle products anchored by creativity, quality tailoring and innovative appliqués,” said Unit Portables’ founder Andreas Ehde. This mentality can be seen in Swedish label’s highly functional, systematic approach to bag design, which is accented by Ucon’s subtle celestial print. With each bag comes a Unit 02 and Unit 14 pouch, both of which can be secured to the interior or exterior of the Arko. Unit 02 is the ultimate catch-all for your phone, notebook or keys, while the all-new Unit 14 unzips to reveal a foldable shopping bag, akin to our favorite Baggu bags.
Made of a heavy-weight polyester and accented with leather details and metal buckles, the foldable bag also features a padded laptop sleeve for secure schlepping. Launching today, 30 May, the Arko collaboration bag can be found exclusively at Unit Portables and Ucon for €100.
