For their latest Vans collaboration, MoMA worked closely with multi-disciplinary artist Faith Ringgold to create a bold all-over print. One sneaker displays a collage-style take on Ringgold’s “Woman Free Yourself” (1971) while the other represents “Woman Freedom Now” (1971), pieces that are both a part of Ringgold’s larger collection of Black feminist protest posters from the era.
