Originally inspired by her reaction to the UK punk culture of the 1980s, Australian artist Mary Lou Pavlovic created a "Facist" series covering work boots in what looks like multicolored candy decor. She has since gone on to realize ballet shoes on knife pointes, jewel-encrusted weapons, and most recently she teamed up with Pol Oxygen to create a mosaic-covered Mini shown at the Milan Design …

Rebecca Wetzler

Sydney based artist Rebecca Wetzler creates lush, messy, and interweaving illustrations, which burst forth boldly from their watercolor surrounds, adding a surreal element to their rather earthy themes. She has contributed to the Australian fashion magazines Oyster and Yen, and has been featured in Deanne Cheuk’s ongoing illustration project, Neomu.
