“The Art of Behind the Scenes” at Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc

Unveiling 16 striking images from the exhibition running concurrently with the Cannes Film Festival

For the second year in a row, luxury Swiss watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre and London-based creative consultancy Finch & Partners have delved into the world of behind-the-scenes photography for a striking exhibition in the south of France. “The Art of Behind The Scenes,” running at Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc at the same time as the Cannes Film Festival, offers a glimpse at life on-set for some of the world’s most celebrated names. Curator John Ingledew has assembled a selection of rare and sometimes never-before-exhibited images of artists and filmmakers, many of which hail from the golden era of film. Among the many standout subjects: Martin Scorsese directs Sharon Stone and Robert De Niro on the set of “Casino,” Andy Warhol captures a moment with his first anchored camera in the ’60s, and Audrey Hepburn looks bored between takes with Peter O’Toole. There are plenty of gems among the collection, but all of them warrant thoughtful consideration.

“The Art of Behind The Scenes” opens at Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc 13 May 2016 and will run through the Cannes Film Festival.
