Jazzanova: The Remixes 2002-2005

sk077cd

Following the stunning "Remixes 1997-2000," the eclectic album of originals "In Between," "In Between Remixed" and the dancefloor approved dj mix "Mixing," the Berlin-based six-member collective Jazzanova presents "The Remixes 2002-2005," a compilation of released, unreleased and brand new—if you haven't guessed it—remixes.

Though shorter in number of tracks by far to the original "Remixes" collection, this new edition does not skimp on quality. Adding their precise yet fluid nujazz and future soul production technics to tracks by New Zealand dubsters Fat Freddy's Drop, Heavy, Masters at Work and jazz legend Roy Ayers, "brazillian-hero" Marcos Valle, quirky 60's act the Free Design, Shaun Escoffery, Eddie Gale, Status IV, Calexico and Finland's Nuspirit Helsinki, Jazzanova has once again provided a masterful collection of past and future musical styles suitable for the home and the lounge club.

Like the original "Remixes," the vinyl version comes in a utlitarian screenprinted cardboard boxset. The CD version and the vinyl version come with a matching screen-printed blank CDR so you can burn a copy for yourself.
