Cool Hunting is proud to be a media partner for the second annual Architizer A+ Awards. This year showed the debut of a new category, Product Awards, as well as new faces to the jury panel (including CH’s very own founder, Josh Rubin) and the first stage results are now in. This year, Architizer received 2650 entries—almost double of that last year—from over 100 different countries. Finalists from the three categories (Plus, Typology and Product) have been announced and now it’s the public’s turn to weigh in on who they think deserves to win an Architizer A+ Popular Choice Award.

Peruse through the top five finalists in each of the different sub-categories, ranging from lighting and sustainability to pop-ups and see big names like Zaha Hadid and her work for the Heydar Aliyev Center in Azerbaijan as well as the work of many smaller, lesser-known firms such as Swingtones, an art installation project at a children’s camp in New Hampshire. No matter how small or large the scale, it’s inspiring to see the best of innovation in architecture and design and sure to change the way you approach your next project.

Public voting is open now until Friday, 21 March 2014. Both jury and popular choice winners will be announced on 1 April 2014.
